Get HTC Desire HD Or Just be Patient for HTC Incredible HD???

*Updated after reading sources of HTC Incredible HD*

The demand for HTC Desire HD seriously HOT!!! The moment stock available, and few hours later out of stock. I was the unfortunate as still waiting for available stock and it's one all thanks to pathetic Digi lousy CRM system.

I still haven't purchase this marvelous smartphone due to restriction from Digi saying that the phone must be purchase with their DG Smart Plan... Therefore I decide to wait for official HTC retailer to have stock which they said by end of December 2010 guarantee for stock availability.

Here is the thing... After days of researching and calls this is what I can tell:

• You can pay more and find those who bring in stock from Singapore (Most expensive I heard was RM2999)
• Official HTC retailer will have stock available by end of December 2010 and selling at RM2299
• SENQ promotion for members with special rebate and free gifts

Basically HTC Desire HD an upgrade version of HTC EVO 4G. In term of specification it's an upgrade but for my opinion, it's more like scraping out some cool features such as HDMI port, kickstand and front camera. Now to think of it... it's more like a downgrade except for the processor of Desire HD is more faster.

I'm desperate to get my fiancee a wonderful Christmas present but knowing the downgrade specification and also the rumors on HTC Scorpion... I'm having my doubt on HTC Desire HD.

I'm not certain but having to see possibility of HTC Scorpion/Incredible HD/Mecha makes me reconsider to wait.

Pitstop One Cafe

It's great to forget about work a while and meet my fiancee for lunch =)

She recommended to go Pitstop One Cafe at 627, Jalan 17/8, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
What I was told by her was the set lunch is worth it as you can order the main dish you like with compliment as show on the photo~

She ordered Cereal Chicken Chop

After tasting it, I realize it's sweet as they added sugar along with the fried cereal. The chicken chop was done in Maryland style which I find it alright but a bit too sweet. FYI - we never did use the ketchup.

The dessert!!! (It's pointed in red)

Yes! The dessert is a tiny cup of two colored jelly! What fascinate me was the elasticity of the jelly. As I tried to slice it, it felt like one very smooth yet solid block of rubber. Don't get me wrong it actually taste 'alright' and I suggest to take it like taking a shot of liquor. Decoration was nice and the alignment of the almost finish drink (I still can't freaking remember the name!), chili sauce and ketchup as again~ It's just for show =P

Carl's Junior, Sunway Pyramid

Another tiring day after work but it's all good when I'm with my lovely fiancee =)
We decided to have something heavy for dinner after shopping at Sunway Pyramid which is Carl's Junior!

It was 9.30PM when we made our order o.O

Yes... I was seriously hungry (-_-)"

Knowing that a Combo Meal can be expensive but once in a while it's worth to go there and enjoy this huge burger. I notice that the fries been downsize... So typical for every fast food chain to do that...

Our Maxis: HTC HD7 Road Trip

I knew about Maxis road trip the day before and just thought of having a look and play around with the newly launch HTC HD 7 at Tropicana City Mall. I was expecting the event inside the building, yet I mistaken:

After the road trip at Tropicana City Mall with some inquiry on the package they offer, we headed to Mid Valley City mainly to spent time there and try our luck to see any stock available at the Maxis Center over there.

Once there, we saw the brochure and decided to go for it. I asked the staff there and she said that so far 3 people including myself purchase this phone(It was 4.00PM the time i got there). It's just my speculation but most people still in the iPhone 4 frenzy and had low confident on Windows Phone 7 due to its new approach.

Maybe go buy Toto number to cover back the cost =P

Ironically... with the iPhone 4 background haha...

Finally! Waited nearly an hour and got the HTC HD7!

Good stuff!!! =D

Movie: Skyline

Good Point:
1. Very nice CGI
2. Interesting preview

Bad Point:
1. Totally boring storyline... Wait! More like no storyline
2. Bad coordination on certain part of the movie
3. B Grade actors (Can't really blame them when the storyline is so bad)

Review:
Seriously... This movie Skyline is a big waste when it cost $10,000,000 in production. I was hoping this movie would be interesting base on their preview but in the end it's just a big waste of time. I would not recommend anyone to watch this movie at all and it's best they produce a first person shooting game rather than a movie.

Food at Brunei: Shikai Restaurant

Typically a Chinese restaurant name Shikai Restaurant and hey~ it's 'halal'. Interesting place with nice decorations and setting also "interesting" way to name a 'deep fried bean-curd with minced meat dish' as Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. I truly just don't understand why bean-curd can be Crouching Tiger and minced meat is the Hidden Dragon. Don't get me wrong but the dish does taste good along with the other dishes. Anyway I did manage to take some photo of the decoration in the restaurant:


And~~~ The next thing you know it~ All the food was swimming inside lots of stomach haha...
Somehow I didn't manage to get photo of the dishes but at least got some cool decoration -_-"

Getting Maxis Signal at Brunei

It's very common to receive neighboring countries mobile signal when you actually located near the respective country border that you visit. As for me at Brunei, I actually manage to detect Maxis or Maxis 3G signals around the Sultan Brunei's 60th Birthday Monument. Not only Maxis yet Digi and Celcom signal can be detected which it's a great benefit for those who want to call back anyone with Malaysia local number.

To do this, you have to set your phone to 'Manually' detect network. It will take a while or sometimes lucky enough to detect the signal immediately then select your respective Malaysia signal. Believe me, this works and the changes made is local call charges once you receive your phone bill.

Food at Brunei: True Green Vegetarian

Who would have thought I ordered a bowl of rice with one huge chunk of vegetables that I don't even know its name~! It's interesting to see there is a vegetarian restaurant over here at Brunei and I'm practically there is all because I told my senior that I'm so deprived over eating lots of chicken and desperate for vegetables...

Well it's quite true that I was A LITTLE demanding over vegetables since I been eating lots of fried meat but this meal is something I would never thought of eating. Basically the portion of the rice and vegetables is generous and believe me, it does taste good not because I was hungry (seriously I wasn't hungry at all that time).

It's one good meal for $3.50 Singapore Dollar and had quite a good laugh with my colleagues about how me and my roommate making a lots of unusual jokes. The most I remember is everyone keep telling me how cruel I'm to kill lots of greens hahaha! This is seriously one of my weird meal with lots of guilt in me by killing lots of greens all thanks to my colleagues =P

Food at Brunei: Roti Telor

I know at Malaysia they also have Roti Telur but I do find some difference in term of their portion which at Brunei is much bigger, thicker and juicy(More like oily). Well over here at Brunei its actually Roti Telor and seriously the curry for the Rotie Telor is so darn good as compare to Malaysia with the diluted or super thick and powdery dal or curry. It's $1.20 Singapore Dollar which its a good deal even you convert it to Ringgit Malaysia.

I'm Here at Brunei

Here I'm at Brunei Darussalam~ basically for work of course which it's a country more richer, more peaceful and also more boring than Malaysia. Yeap... It's one peaceful country and basically you can even sleep on the road at night as practically no car passes by.

Currently I'm rotting in Abdul Razak Service Apartment with interesting facilities like huge room but small bed, free breakfast, basic facilities with Astro, poisonous electric kettle which possible to use and NO kitchen (Seriously! What kind of service apartment is this that can't provide all the room with kitchen...)

Somehow I didn't bother much to look around while knowing I will be here quite a while without my fiancee... (I'M MISSING HER REAL LOTS!!!!! ARGH!!!) but I have to do all my best. Okay about food here, I notice and taste everywhere I go basically that is 'cheap' of course is chicken, chicken and chicken. Yea~ lots of chicken but I don't have any problem about it except its hard to order dished with vegetables.

Maybe it's still too early to conclude that but for now that is what I think yet I was relieved to find two Chinese hawker center near my apartment that offer Bah Kut Teh and mix rice! The Bah Kut Teh is not what I wanted but more of the vegetables which I even took a photo of it hahaha

By far the most decent food I had at Brunei (28 June 2010)

O'Fren Cafe - Chicken Zilla!

The name says it all!!! Chicken Zilla!! (Seriously hope I got the name right) This is an instant hit for me the moment plate touchdown on my table. It's one of the biggest and juicy chicken chop I ever ate! Lot's of meat and the black pepper just wonderfully blend in with the crispy crust with a good price of RM15. Find Holy Shit using Garmin Mobile XT

I was using my old phone to pinpoint a location with my Garmin Mobile XT and found a very interesting location near Jalan Teratai 2/7, Ampang. Not too sure why they named it like that but I perfectly doubt the Shit there is Holy till its called Holy Shit! I'm thinking that place is just a normal water treatment plant but sure enough it caught my attention

My Funny Moments at Madame Tussaud's

Kinda funny name but it's actually a wax museum will lots of celebrity wax figures. Basically its at Hong Kong whereby you need to travel uphill to The Peak and I suggest anyone who go there must use The Peak Tram. Anyway~ just enjoy the funny photos taken when I was there:

PIKOM PC Fair Revisit at KLCC

Another revisit to KLCC Convention Center for the PIKOM PC Fair... Seriously! I been telling myself not to go there and still ended up there...

Of course I wasn't there just to browse around and waste my money to buy more HDD (Even I wanted to buy yet I managed to resists the temptation!) but to see any good offer on SanDisk thumbdrives and hoping to get good deal on Maxis Broadband subscription.

Something new this time at Samsung booth with their LED/LCD monitors on display then with Kaspersky hard press efforts to promote their products and I'm glad to see ESET booth is there to promote their NOD32 anti-virus.

I find this time PC Fair is below average when comes to promotion towards thumbdrives, Mobile Broadband is on war as usual with the crazy and constant changes on the subscription plan, HDD still the same except Western Digital promoting their three colors 'Buzz Lightyear' stars. Many others things I basically ignore as usual while glad to have my sweet fiancee with me ;)

Overall, PC Fair same as always and seriously hoping they can put up high-end modded rig for display. Seriously just go there if you ever intended to purchase item like laptop, monitor or printer; not just because its cheaper (the fact that even Lowyat also will sell the same price) but they just offer free gift or better package compare to other days.

Movie: Legion

Seriously, the movie preview looks awesome and I was expecting the movie would be full of action and really interesting storyline... Yet it ended up like:

'Lost faith William, You just wasted 1 hour and 30 minutes of your life in this movie'

Well I can say that while watching i really got lots of '????????' in my mind and was eager to know how the movie developed and by the time the movie ends I still ended up being '????????'. Good thing my beloved fiancee didn't watch it as she will surely regret it.

It's just too many question in my mind on this movie and I believe the movie like in a total rush to put up everything (it's like the world going to end so quickly publish this movie out before 2012 prophecies came true)

I'm not going to say much by being a spoiler, but if you have 2 hours of free time and truly got nothing to do then go ahead to watch this movie, else I don't really recommend it. Seriously, Have Faith on what I just suggested.

34th Malaysian National Championships

It's 3.00 AM and I'm still awake while finalize everything... System has been deployed and I'm very confident that everything will work out and I'm very excited that my beloved fiancee is going to help out as well!!!

Damn excited till so late also not tired out yet~ But it's time for me to rest as another six hours for the official start time.
