Papa John's Pizza

Not too long ago I had a farewell lunch at Papa John's Pizza (Tropicana City Mall). Basically celebrate two interns last working day from my company. All of us was there ordered quite a number of pizza and while waiting so I took the chance to snapshots nearly the whole menu (I practically playing around with my HTC Desire HD while waiting for food).

Papa John's Pizza Menu

According to Wikipedia, Papa John's is the third largest take-out and pizza delivery

John Schnatter the owner and his huge pizza on the menu

Get two in one with their Half & Half

Appetizers Menu

Appetizers/Snack Menu

Snack Menu

Baked Rice and Pasta Menu

Drinks Menu

Dippings - Garlic Butter Sauce, Tomata Pasta Sauce and Green Pepper

Dippings for the Garlic Butter is alright but having the Green Pepper and Tomata Pasta Sauce is just weird. The Tomato Pasta Sauce is the same sauce they use on the pasta and pizza...

Snack - Breadsticks (RM3.50)

The breadsticks was alright, quite dry and not much of flavor. Tried dipping into the Garlic Butter sauce seems to taste better a little.

Snack - Potato Wedges (RM3.90)

This is one of the smallest potato wedges I seen so far. It still look so small even after I zoom for a close up shot. The wedges is crunchy but I still find the KFC wedges taste better.

Snack - Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings (RM8.00)

Menu wrote chicken wing yet gave us drumstick and again.. it's so damn small! Another record breaking tiny drumstick and chicken wing but I do admit that it does taste better than Pizza Hut's chicken wing.

Chicken and Mushroom Pizza Pocket (RM8.90)

I surely don't want to put this in my pocket but overall this was the best food I tasted there which includes the pizza I tried.

Specialty Pizza - Chicken Super Papa's

Classic Pizza - Garden Special

Specialty Pizza - BBQ Chicken & Beef

Classic Pizza - Papa's Pizza

Chicken Alfredo Pasta

Baked Seafood Deluxe Pasta

This is the dude that was busy making our pizza

Overall the pizzas looks nice but taste quite dull as compare to Pizza Hut, Domino and Yellow Cab. Snack portion was the smallest I seen so far also I did waited for a long time before the first pizza reached my table. I enjoyed the Chicken and Mushroom Pizza Pocket but I don't have any reason to go back there again.

Maybe the focus on Papa John's Pizza is the freshness of the ingredient used, yet again... When comes to franchising food here in Malaysia, it's normal for my perspective to think that quality and services is below average.

Pitstop One Cafe

It's great to forget about work a while and meet my fiancee for lunch =)
She recommended to go Pitstop One Cafe at 627, Jalan 17/8, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
What I was told by her was the set lunch is worth it as you can order the main dish you like with compliment as show on the photo~

Set Lunch Drink!
(I seriously forgotten what drink is this!!! -_-" )

She ordered Cereal Chicken Chop

After tasting it, I realize it's sweet as they added sugar along with the fried cereal. The chicken chop was done in Maryland style which I find it alright but a bit too sweet. FYI - we never did use the ketchup.

The dessert!!! (It's pointed in red)

Yes! The dessert is a tiny cup of two colored jelly! What fascinate me was the elasticity of the jelly. As I tried to slice it, it felt like one very smooth yet solid block of rubber. Don't get me wrong it actually taste 'alright' and I suggest to take it like taking a shot of liquor. Decoration was nice and the alignment of the almost finish drink (I still can't freaking remember the name!), chili sauce and ketchup as again~ It's just for show =P

Carl's Junior, Sunway Pyramid

Another tiring day after work but it's all good when I'm with my lovely fiancee =)
We decided to have something heavy for dinner after shopping at Sunway Pyramid which is Carl's Junior!

It was 9.30PM when we made our order o.O

Ahhh~ Finally! Dinner time!!!
I had Bacon Swiss and she had Famous Star

BIG BURGER??? Where???

Yes... I was seriously hungry (-_-)"

Knowing that a Combo Meal can be expensive but once in a while it's worth to go there and enjoy this huge burger. I notice that the fries been downsize... So typical for every fast food chain to do that...

Food at Brunei: Shikai Restaurant

Typically a Chinese restaurant name Shikai Restaurant and hey~ it's 'halal'. Interesting place with nice decorations and setting also "interesting" way to name a 'deep fried bean-curd with minced meat dish' as Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. I truly just don't understand why bean-curd can be Crouching Tiger and minced meat is the Hidden Dragon. Don't get me wrong but the dish does taste good along with the other dishes. Anyway I did manage to take some photo of the decoration in the restaurant:

And~~~ The next thing you know it~ All the food was swimming inside lots of stomach haha...
Somehow I didn't manage to get photo of the dishes but at least got some cool decoration -_-"

Food at Brunei: True Green Vegetarian

Who would have thought I ordered a bowl of rice with one huge chunk of vegetables that I don't even know its name~! It's interesting to see there is a vegetarian restaurant over here at Brunei and I'm practically there is all because I told my senior that I'm so deprived over eating lots of chicken and desperate for vegetables...

Well it's quite true that I was A LITTLE demanding over vegetables since I been eating lots of fried meat but this meal is something I would never thought of eating. Basically the portion of the rice and vegetables is generous and believe me, it does taste good not because I was hungry (seriously I wasn't hungry at all that time).

It's one good meal for $3.50 Singapore Dollar and had quite a good laugh with my colleagues about how me and my roommate making a lots of unusual jokes. The most I remember is everyone keep telling me how cruel I'm to kill lots of greens hahaha! This is seriously one of my weird meal with lots of guilt in me by killing lots of greens all thanks to my colleagues =P

Food at Brunei: Roti Telor

I know at Malaysia they also have Roti Telur but I do find some difference in term of their portion which at Brunei is much bigger, thicker and juicy(More like oily). Well over here at Brunei its actually Roti Telor and seriously the curry for the Rotie Telor is so darn good as compare to Malaysia with the diluted or super thick and powdery dal or curry. It's $1.20 Singapore Dollar which its a good deal even you convert it to Ringgit Malaysia.

I'm Here at Brunei

Here I'm at Brunei Darussalam~ basically for work of course which it's a country more richer, more peaceful and also more boring than Malaysia. Yeap... It's one peaceful country and basically you can even sleep on the road at night as practically no car passes by.

Currently I'm rotting in Abdul Razak Service Apartment with interesting facilities like huge room but small bed, free breakfast, basic facilities with Astro, poisonous electric kettle which possible to use and NO kitchen (Seriously! What kind of service apartment is this that can't provide all the room with kitchen...)

Somehow I didn't bother much to look around while knowing I will be here quite a while without my fiancee... (I'M MISSING HER REAL LOTS!!!!! ARGH!!!) but I have to do all my best. Okay about food here, I notice and taste everywhere I go basically that is 'cheap' of course is chicken, chicken and chicken. Yea~ lots of chicken but I don't have any problem about it except its hard to order dished with vegetables.

Maybe it's still too early to conclude that but for now that is what I think yet I was relieved to find two Chinese hawker center near my apartment that offer Bah Kut Teh and mix rice! The Bah Kut Teh is not what I wanted but more of the vegetables which I even took a photo of it hahaha
By far the most decent food I had at Brunei (28 June 2010)

To be continue...

O'Fren Cafe - Chicken Zilla!

The name says it all!!! Chicken Zilla!! (Seriously hope I got the name right) This is an instant hit for me the moment plate touchdown on my table. It's one of the biggest and juicy chicken chop I ever ate! Lot's of meat and the black pepper just wonderfully blend in with the crispy crust with a good price of RM15. Do visit the O'Fren Cafe site at http://ofrencafe.blogspot.com/ for other mouth watering dishes they offer (Honestly nothing much on the site yet the food is good).

Shogun at 1Utama

Me and my girlfriend empty our stomach during the day and decided to head down to Shogun at 1Utama~

shogunoneu1

~The variety we get to try when we start our meal~

shogunoneu3

Somehow we was surprised to receive a plate of half cut lobster which this never happen to me when I tried Shogun at Sunway Pyramid. Some mention that trying at 1Utama is better and some mention Sunway Pyramid is better. As for me, I conclude that Sunway Pyramid offer a terrible service some more with a smaller premises to manage while in 1Utama nothing much I can say except good service and good seafoods around me to savour~

shogunoneu2

Truly having a good time with my girlfriend ;)

Truly Simple Garlic Bread

Just took a bit of time to make myself a simple garlic bread as the ingredient is basically two or more slice of bread of your choice and garlic spread that you can purchase in any hypermarket.

simplegarlicbread01

I took a slice of Gardenia bread and spread the garlic with herbs spread of my choice~

simplegarlicbread02

Next, just place the bread with spread into the toaster for about 2~4 minutes

simplegarlicbread03

There you have it~ one truly simple way to make garlic bread ;)

Famous Thai Restaurant, Shah Alam

Famous Thai Restaurant located at Plaza Shah Alam, Sention 9 which have variety of dishes yet it's suitable for families to have good meal and the spiciness is mild as compared to the actual Thai food. Basically it's suitable for us as we can't really take very spicy dishes. I do enjoy their services as providing perfumed napkin, refill our drinks and constantly in service during our meal.

Some appetiser before our meal

~Mixed Vegetables~

~'Foo Yong' Egg~

~Pandan Chicken~

~Simple meal yet with satisfied look~

I'm sure you are wondering where is the Tom Yam Soup or Pineapple Rice or any Thai spicy dishes~ Well that will be posted once we both decided to go back there again for another meal ;)
